No — and no dietary supplement is. The FDA does not approve dietary supplements before they are sold; it regulates them as food, not as drugs. Any protein powder or supplement claiming to be "FDA approved" is describing something that does not exist. What we can tell you is that ASP-1 is manufactured in the USA in a cGMP-certified facility, which means the facility is subject to FDA current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations and inspection, and that every batch is tested by an independent ISO/IEC 17025:2017-accredited laboratory. Is ASP-1 safe to take while I'm on Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro or Zepbound?

ASP-1 is a dietary supplement made from ingredients commonly consumed as food — whey protein isolate, collagen peptides, creatine monohydrate, L-glutamine, fiber, vitamins and minerals — and it was formulated specifically with GLP-1 users in mind. That said, we are not your clinician and cannot tell you it is safe for you personally. Talk to whoever prescribes your GLP-1 before adding it, particularly if you have kidney or liver disease, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a dairy allergy, or take medications that require careful timing. The lot number is printed on the bottom of your tub, so you can match your specific product to its test results. Very few supplement brands publish raw lab reports, and it is a reasonable thing to demand before buying anything you put in your body.

Is ASP-1 third-party tested?

Yes. Every batch is tested by independent laboratories for identity, potency, purity, heavy metals and microbial safety, and the results are published publicly on our Quality & Testing page rather than summarized. The testing verifies the label claims — protein, creatine, magnesium, vitamins, minerals and probiotic count — against what is actually in the tub. Certificates are added as each new lot is released.

Dosage and how to use it

What is the dosage for ASP-1? How much do I take?

One level scoop daily is the standard serving, and the formula is designed for one to two scoops per day. Add one scoop to 6-8 oz of cold water, milk or a milk alternative and shake for about 15 seconds. Take it whenever you will actually take it consistently — timing matters far less than not skipping days. If you have a sensitive stomach, or if your GLP-1 has made your digestion touchy, start with a half scoop for the first couple of days and work up.

How much protein is in one serving of ASP-1?

25 grams of complete protein per scoop: 20 g of whey protein isolate plus 5 g of hydrolyzed bovine collagen peptides. The whey is isolate only — not a blend, not concentrate. Dark Chocolate is a 44 g scoop at 120 calories; Vanilla Bean is a 41 g scoop at 110 calories. Both deliver the same 25 g of protein.

How much creatine is in ASP-1, and can I take creatine on a GLP-1?

Each scoop contains 3 grams of creatine monohydrate. Creatine is one of the most-studied supplement ingredients there is, and it is included here because maintaining lean mass during rapid weight loss is the central problem GLP-1 users face. Whether it is right for you is a question for your prescriber, especially if you have any kidney condition. If you already take a separate creatine supplement, account for the 3 g in ASP-1 so you are not doubling up unintentionally.

When should I take ASP-1 — with food or on an empty stomach?

Either works, and the best time is the one you will repeat. Many GLP-1 users find a shake easiest in the morning, when appetite suppression tends to be least severe, or in place of a meal they cannot face. If you are using it to help hit a daily protein target, spreading protein across the day is generally more useful than concentrating it, but consistency beats optimization.

Can I take ASP-1 if I'm not on a GLP-1 medication?

Yes. ASP-1 was formulated for GLP-1 users, but nothing in it is specific to that medication. What are the ingredients in ASP-1?

Per scoop, ASP-1 contains 20 g whey protein isolate, 5 g hydrolyzed bovine collagen peptides, 3 g creatine monohydrate, 1 g L-glutamine, and 10 mg Bacillus clausii (1 billion CFU at time of manufacture). Micronutrients include 100 mg magnesium (from 1000 mg Magtein® magnesium L-threonate and 300 mg magnesium bisglycinate), 15 mg zinc as zinc picolinate, and 5 mcg vitamin B-12 as methylcobalamin. Other ingredients are allulose, chicory root inulin, sodium chloride, natural flavor, sunflower lecithin, xanthan gum, stevia leaf extract (Rebaudioside A) and monk fruit extract; Dark Chocolate also contains cocoa powder processed with alkali. Does ASP-1 contain artificial sweeteners or sugar?

No artificial sweeteners. ASP-1 is sweetened primarily with non-GMO allulose — a rare sugar that occurs naturally in figs and dates and does not raise blood glucose the way table sugar does — supported by stevia leaf extract and monk fruit extract. Total carbohydrates are 9 g per scoop in Dark Chocolate and 8 g in Vanilla Bean, of which 3 g and 2 g respectively are dietary fiber.

What allergens does ASP-1 contain?

ASP-1 contains milk, because whey protein isolate is dairy-derived. That is the only allergen declared on the label. No gluten-containing or soy-containing ingredients are used — the lecithin is sunflower-derived, not soy — but the label does not carry a certified gluten-free claim, so if you have celiac disease rather than a preference, contact us at customerservice@habthera.com before ordering. The collagen peptides are bovine-sourced, so ASP-1 is not vegetarian or vegan.

Will ASP-1 upset my stomach? I've had GI problems since starting my GLP-1.

It was formulated to be gentler than a typical protein powder, but no one can promise you a specific digestive outcome. The fiber is a dual-chain system — 2 g of chicory root inulin plus slower-fermenting long-chain fiber — chosen to be less bloating than the fast-fermenting fiber in many shakes, and the probiotic is Bacillus clausii, a spore-forming strain that survives stomach acid. Whey isolate also contains far less lactose than whey concentrate. If your stomach is sensitive, start with a half scoop for a few days before moving to a full one. If a symptom is severe or persistent, that is a conversation for your prescriber, not a dosing adjustment.

How is ASP-1 different from a regular protein powder?

A standard protein powder gives you protein. ASP-1 combines protein with the things GLP-1 users typically end up buying separately: creatine for lean mass, collagen and zinc for skin and tissue, magnesium and methylated B-12 for energy and cognition, and fiber plus a probiotic for the digestive side effects. Both deliver 25 g of protein. Vanilla Bean is slightly lower in calories (110 vs 120), carbohydrates (8 g vs 9 g) and sodium (190 mg vs 340 mg), because Dark Chocolate includes cocoa powder.

How many servings are in a tub, and how long does it last?

30 servings per tub. At one scoop a day that is a 30-day supply. Dark Chocolate is 2 lb 15.1 oz (1336 g) net weight; Vanilla Bean is 2 lb 12.1 oz (1251 g). If you take two scoops daily, a tub lasts about 15 days.

How much does ASP-1 cost?

Shipping is free on every order, with no minimum. Orders are processed within 24 hours on business days, and standard shipping then takes 3-4 business days depending on location. We ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, and you will get a tracking email once your order ships. We currently ship to the continental United States only, and cannot deliver to P.O. boxes or internationally.

What is Habthera's return policy?

30 days from delivery, full refund, no questions asked. The tub can be opened — it just needs to be at least half full — and you will need your order number or proof of purchase. Email customerservice@habthera.com and the team replies within 2-3 business days with return instructions and a prepaid shipping label for US customers. Once the return is received and inspected, refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.
